Tuff Scentence Scent Infused Nail Polish was born of the 1990s with one simple idea,
color should be more than something you see, it should be something you experience.

Founder Lisa Barbash was inspired after watching her three-year-old daughter paint her finger nails with a scented marker and say "Mommy, smell my finger nails." That little moment sparked an entirely new beauty concept, Nail Polish that releases fragrance as it dries.

Tuff Scentence quickly captured attention appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, Fox News, The Today Show, Vogue Magazine, Women's Wear Daily, In Style and earning a following among celebrities including Alanis Morissette, Kelly Preston, Halle Berry, Minnie Driver, Lucy Liu and Scarlett Johansson. The brand went on to be sold by major retailers including Sephora, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.

Today, Tuff Scentence is back, reimagined for modern beauty.

The advanced formula is made without Dibutyl PhthLte, Formaldehyde, Toluene, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide or Xylene and is enhanced with peptides for a more elevated nail care experience.

Made in the USA, TuffScent, named such that the scent is recognizable after the product dries or gets Tuff, allowing us to create unexpected combinations inspired by fashion, fragrance, beauty,nature,and changing seasons.

Apply TuffScent just like a traditional nail polish- no curing light required.

As the polish dries, the fragrance begins to emerge. In approximately three minutes, the color and scent come together, creating the signature Tuff Scent experience. The fragrance can continue to be enjoyed for days, and additional coats enhance both color opacity and scent.
